Superman#705 sets

Hi, dear friends!!

Just an interlude to Adventure Comics stuff. Between Adv Comics #521 and #522 works, I had the opportunity to help great artist Wellington Diaz drawing sets for Superman#705. Wellington has sent me his layouts and, over them, I have built all sets. I was not credited for this work (I´m a ghost penciller here), but it was a great challenge... comics are not just amazing fights and action poses, draw houses, cars, trees and so on is so much important than that, it´s the thing that throw the reader inside the story.

Digital Art

These days I´m doing some pinups using a Wacom Bamboo to "ink" digitally. Below there is a piece of Black Beetle, created by Francesco Francavilla. Inital rough was made by pencils, scanned and inked using PS brushes an´ selection.


Here is a pinup of Capitão Feio, a character created by famous brazilian cartoonist Maurício de Sousa. Capitão Feio is a cartoon character, then I did a kind of superhero version from him.

Justice League: the Rise of Arsenal#04 - part 01

Hi, guys!! How are you? I hope everybody will be fine :^)
Rise of Arsenal#04 is in the comic shops now and, following the tradition, I´m posting a step-by-step production of a page from this issue. This time, on of the best scenes that I´ve drawn for this mini: a double page showing a fight between Ollie and Roy. Take a look...

JLA: the Rise of Arsenal#03 - part 03

Dear friends,

This time I would like to talk about choices of storytelling in comics.

This page is an example: in this scene, Arsenal is over drugs effect, and he saw Lian (but she´s not there, it´s an imagination) and I decided to put Roy full of shadows, darker, and Lian a little lighter, creating a contrast between them. It´s like showing the reader that actually Lian wasn´t there, graphically speaking.

JLA: the Rise of Arsenal#03 part 02

Hey, guys. I´m posting one of the best sequences that I´ve drawn in my life, a Batman/Arsenal fight (thanks, Mr. Krul). It was a challenge, cos´these pages would be the most intense part of this issue. One of these pages was inspired in Paul Gulacy´s fight sequences.

MAISHQ - a Manga and Anime Convention

Dear guys,

I was invited to do a workshop on a Manga and Anime Convention at Sobral, a brazilian city, representing my agency, IMPACTO STUDIOS. My worshop was about comic storytelling. That was great opportunity to meet some big comic pros like JJ Marreiro (MSP+50), Lederly Mendonça (SENAC professor), Walter Geovani (Red Sonja), Alex Lei and Rob Lean (Ed Benes´inkers), Diego Bernard (Man with No Name), Wagner Nogueira (Velame Studios) and so on. My congratulations to Gattai Group, these guys are responsible for this awesome event!! Below that´s my "Arsenal moment" during the Con.
